In the wake of the 2007–08 financial crisis, trends have emerged which point to Asia increasingly forging its own path, without America. In his new book, Asia Alone: The Dangerous Post-Crisis Divide from America, author Simon Tay elucidates such trends and argues that, for the benefit of both sides, US and Asia should continue to engage each other and move towards a new relationship in the post-crisis world. Hear from Simon as he talk about that the rise of Asia and the development of closer regional bonds can occur simultaneously with continued US engagement.
